JustLooking is a 'Preview' application replacement.JustLooking can only be used for previewing image files, so it won't open files like Adobe Acrobat 'pdf' files. It has its focus on the files and directories. It shows the real image instead of interpreting the DPI information. It also has a nice fading effect.
The entire application can be easily controlled by using your keyboard. You can delete, increase or decrease the image and even make it 'fit to window' for a more comfortable view. The software can also rotate the files. There is also a 'show in finder' option that opens the Finder window with the file currently being viewed. You can chose 'thumbnail window' that option will show all existing images in thumbnail preview, you can easily chose what image to view or start slideshow from.

The transitions between files are very smooth and customizable. You can choose 'fade effect' with 'slow', 'normal', and 'fast' modes. Also, if you have animated 'gif' files, there is a 'wait for animated images to complete' checkbox, which should come very handy.
